Delhi government has given a nod to the police to prosecute Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattarcharya in JNU sedition case.
Since January 25, five states have charged Sharjeel Imam, a PhD student at Jawaharlal Nehru University, with sedition and other serious offences. These include offences under the draconian Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
JNU student Sharjeel Imam has been booked for sedition by police of five states for a speech he gave at AMU on January 16.
In Jharkhand, 3,000 protestors have been booked for participating in Anti-CAA protests.
